Noses get colder as Winter sets in...

As the temperature drops and the rain finally begins, almost everyone is glad to see the end of our long summer – except the animals staying at the AWL’s Wingfield shelter.

As the days get colder and the nights longer and darker, our animals need your help to stay warm. It gets bitterly cold in the concrete and steel shelter, and fresh, cosy bedding is vital to keep the animals comfortable.

You can donate old blankets, towels and quilts to the AWL to keep animals snug over winter. Knitted or crocheted blankets are a favourite with the animals!

All donations can be made at the Wingfield shelter at 1-19 Cormack Road, Wingfield, or through the AWL’s thrift shops. For more information, call the shelter on 8348 1300.
